Sr Ong Hock Tek (“HT”) is a Fellow of nine professional institutions, a well-qualified multi-disciplinary and specialist consultant, over 30 years of working experience with architects, quantity surveyors, project managers, civil   engineering/building   contractors   and   specialist consultants. His specific experience/expertise include construction project/contracts management, quantity surveying, risks/value   management, claims preparation/defense, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), particularly in advisory, management, support, documentation and related services.

HT is an Arbitrator, Mediator, Negotiator, Expert (quantum) and Party Counsel/Representative on technical, commercial and contractual disputes/ differences between the contracting parties, at both main and sub-contract levels. He has been a Panel Mediator, Arbitrator and Adjudicator of AIAC, Panel Arbitrator of PAM and SIArb, Accredited Mediator, Value Manager and Certified Construction Project Manager of CIDB, past Deputy President of CIOB Malaysia, Past President of Lighthouse Club, past 1st Treasurer-General and current ADR Chair (QS Div.) of RISM.

Being a Master Trainer, HT has organised and delivered many public and in-house conferences, seminars/webinars and workshops for professional institutions and private/public listed companies, in particular on construction contracts, ADR, risks and value management.  He has also lectured part-time for bachelor and master degree programme in the same areas for several years and has been a regular article contributor to the Master Builders Journal on construction contract and management issues since 2002 till to-date. He is the speaker/trainer for the annual 6 to 12 one-day seminar sessions on Practical Construction Contract Administration/Management organised by Master Builders Association Malaysia since 2015 till 2020. Thereafter, he conducted similar but 15-half day webinar module courses for Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia and Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia, in collaboration with BK Entrusty, since 2020 onwards till to-date.

Ar Toh Siew Kian (“SK”) is a professional architect registered with the Board of Architects Malaysia since 1983. He has about 30 years of working experience in the building industries having worked in the government sector as well as in a private architectural practice and also public-listed development companies.

SK’s experience include an all-rounded approach to project management throughout the various stages of schematic design, design development, contract documentation and contract implementation. He prepares preliminary conceptual proposals in interpreting the brief, develops the concept into submission plans to the local authorities, coordinates the other consultants, prepare construction details for contract documentation, provides periodical supervision on site as well as certifies the progress of work until the proper handing over of the completed project.

SK constantly seeks to achieve improved design in the built environment without sacrificing commercial reality and he places the best interest of his clients as the primary objective by providing personal service and upholding a no-compromise philosophy in his professional duties.

John Battersby is well qualified with over 51 years of experience in the construction industry, the greater part of which has been on projects in Hong Kong and throughout the Asia Pacific region; having specialist expertise in the preparation/review, negotiation and settlement of claims for extensions of time and additional payment on behalf of contractors, sub-contractors, developers and government departments. Although most of such claims have been settled through the process of negotiation, the remainder have been successfully pursued through the process of mediation or arbitration.

He is an Accredited Mediator on the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre panel of mediators and a Dispute Resolution Advisor approved by the Architectural Services Department of the Government of the Hong Kong SAR and the Hong Kong Housing Authority. Mr Battersby is also a Member of the Academy of Experts and accredited by the Academy as an Expert. He is also the Group Managing Director of BKAPL.

Lam Li Lih has been involved in the field of design, development, implementation and maintenance of quality management systems / business processes since 1992. She has been providing consultancy, training and auditing support to numerous organizations in the Manufacturing, Government Ministries, Construction and Developer industries as well as services industries such as Education & Training, Information Technology, Mobile Telecommunication, Retailing, Insurance, Leisure Club, Legal and Estate & Plantation Management. Her goal is to assist organizations to positively impact their business performance through effective and improved business processes.

Apart from providing consultation, Li Lih conducts public and in-house training, third party management systems audits and project management. She has also played the role of a quality assurance advisor to various education and information technology projects.

As a registered Lead Assessor with the international professional registration authority for Quality Management System IRCA-UK, Li Lih is an experienced Lead Tutor in the IRCA approved Lead Auditor Course.

She is an appointed QMS Consultant by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) of Malaysia to provide ISO 9000 consultancy and training to the Class A, Grade 7 contractors.

Before becoming a Management System Consultant, Li Lih has had 11 years of industry experience.  She was a Quality & Customer Care Manager for International Computers Ltd. (ICL) and for Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (a subsidiary of Sapura Holdings.) Her main roles involved the design, development, implementation and maintenance of quality assurance systems as well as the coordination of all quality-related activities.

He brings to Southeast Asia and the Master Trainer Institute more than 20 years of management training experience that spans the globe from Hong Kong to Seattle, from Chicago to Canada and Singapore. Recently, he has focused his training in India, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Australia and New Zealand.

Dr Gill is also a Certified and Licensed Neuro-Linguistic Programming Master Trainer in NLP (since 1985) and the Principal Trainer for the Master Trainer Institute, New York.

He is also appointed as a Diplomatic Senator in the International Parliament for Safety and Peace.

Eric Chew is an experienced Quantity Surveyor, traditionally been through Contractor and Project Management organization’s on a range of diverse projects including Infrastructure, building works, airport catering facilities, shopping centre and etc.

Having worked in Malaysia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates, his experience covers the full range of project lifecycles from tendering/pricing, measurement, procurement, pre/post contract administration, up to final account / dispute resolution.

In addition, he has wide experiences in technical coordination/ resolution, claim preparation/ defense, as well as arbitration support services/ documentations.

Sr Rachel Ng, a Registered Quantity Surveyor under Board of Quantity Surveyor of Malaysia and Chartered Surveyor with Royal Institute of Surveyors, Malaysia, is well competent multidisciplinary and specialist consultant, over close to 15 years of working experience involving contractual advise to local and international contractors and employer in the engineering and construction industries covering a wide range of projects from power plant, oil and gas, high rise building, railway, highways, airports, residential and commercial development, factory, waste water treatment plant and sewerage water treatment plant.

She is an Adjudicator, Mediator and Arbitrator, Expert (quantum) and Party Counsel/Representative on technical act as the co-counsel and advisors in alternative disputes resolution and litigation.

She holds a master degree in Construction Law and Arbitration and a degree in Quantity Surveying. She is currently doing her part-time law degree with the University of London.

Terence Toh, a registered Mechanical Engineer under Institute of Engineers of Malaysia (IEM) and Board of Engineers of Malaysia (BEM), is a competent specialist consultant with close to 20 years of working experience involving contractual and planning advisory roles to local and international contractors and employers in the engineering and construction industries covering a wide range of projects from mechanical cooling plant projects, residential high rise, commercial high rise, airports, sewerage treatment plant, and railway.

He has led a construction planning services company from start-up to growth within less than two years and established the company as a niche company in the construction planning service where it provides consultancy services to large international and local companies.

He is a Planning Director, Delay Exert and Party Representative on technical (time/delay) matters in alternative dispute resolutions and litigation.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently doing his part-time course in Arbitration, Adjudication.
